Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Center for weight loss surgery (CWLS) was featured on the 4/20/11 broadcast of Chronicle on WCVB TV 5. The show follows CWLS patient Colleen Michaels-Walsh on her incredible weight loss journey over the past year. In high school, Michaels-Walsh weighed 550 pounds. After years of struggling with weight loss, she decided to take a drastic measure: gastric bypass surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Anthony Everett reports on her attempt to regain control of her life.
